Default Anybody have long range plans for the coming financial crisis?

I don't have a lot of bucks in savings and not a lot coming in besides my and my wife's SS check. I'm selling a bunch of fishing stuff as well as tools that I don't need. On top of that, I have a pretty good garden and a big greenhouse that I grow in over the winter. Oh yeah, I applied for a Carry Permit. I also stocked up on .22 ammo. I ought to get another thousand rounds or so.

I've stocked up on a variety of dried foods and we canned a bunch this summer and will can and dehydrate more as it gets ready.

I am very concerned about security. I have a 4' Red-Top fence around my 3 acres and a gate alarm. I may run a strand of barbed wire on top of the fence. If it gets really nasty, I know how to make lots of nasty surprises for anybody trespassing. The garden and greenhouse would definitely attract hungry thieves.

I'd like to know how to rig alarms to go off in my house.

Anybody else have a plan or ideas. If the folks in DEE-troit And Chicago don't get their welfare, they are gonna come looking and it ain't gonna be pretty.

I've got my AR-15, Rem. 870 and plenty of others like them. I will protect what I have and go get what I don't. Let's just hope it doesn't get that bad.

Personally, if it's going to happen (and it looks like it will) I say lets get it over with! I'm tired of the year after year of the same old crap bringing everyone down.
I also don't see anyone who is capable/allowed or even willing to do what needs to be done to fix it and even if they were it would take decades to do it. The present day political system has gotten so corrupt and off track that a major change like a complete financial melt down may be the only way to fix it.
