Doing something just because you can, doesn't mean it's the best or correct method. Honestly, just stick spacers on it and be done with it. By cutting off and repositioning the spring perches you're inducing a whole 'nother set of potential issues.

instead of raising the front, drop the back end with longer swing shackles and/or take out the lift/spacer block.
