fishn4real (2/11/2010)Why don't all of you plan to bring your instruments to the spring lung buster party that is posted up on the bash forum.

I know Wally at A.R.C. music plays guitar and base and I know he knows a bunch of musicians who would likely be up fora jam, especially if food and bev is available.

Sounds like a parteeee.

A little soon to make it down for me, but if you pushed out the date about month or soI would love to see this collection of talent.

Where are the backup singers?
NOT ME!!!

Trust me on this one... but I think I'll have the perfect "C" on the ukelele by then...

Can I have a solo?

Jim

Flounderpounder (2/11/2010)PFF jam/party? Just an idea for some fun? I play bass (more years than I want to add up)...so we'd need drums, guitar, vocals, at a minimum. Heck, bring your harmonica, tuba, bagpipes, whatever. But we'd need the basics to pull it off. We could switch off if more than one bass player, drummer, etc. is up for it. I don't have a PA any more, or a great place to host it. I've played pretty much everything from (primarily) blues to rock to country. Not really into "make your ears bleed" stuff, but that doesn't mean no kickin' azz. A core ofSOLID players would be nice to get started!!!!!

Any interest/ideas???
Sorry guysI play stuff like this

Check it out though and tell me what you think!

personally, I thought it sucked. Not much musical talent needed to do that. Basically 2 whole chords, lots of distortion, and zero dynamics. However, It is a genre of music some people like. Enjoy. Just not for me.

Buckethead (2/11/2010)Though most of you hate me, I can shred the absolute hell out of a guitar, it's my other passion aside from fishing. I'm always down to party on guitar, so a jam sounds good to me.
got the wrong idea brother. it's the civil disagreements and different points of view that make this place so great. i'd love to sit down and pick with you sometime. any good jam session needs a rythom guitar and a dude who's not afraid to make an @$$ of himself trying to sing!

Checked it out, and in my opinion some of the worst "music" I have ever run across... I have seen a few heavy death metal bands that were very talented, and played with uniques time signatures and complex guitar riffs, but this song was not one of them. Just out of curiousity, I looked up the lyrics because I thought I understood some of the screaming, and I am afraid I was correct about what he was saying... dark dark stuff man.I pray what you are taking in isn't what you are putting out. Come to the the next get together for a PFF hug :grouphug

lyrics to "unanswered" by suicide silence

How much must I curse your name
And put your beliefs to shame
Before you prove yourself
And end this life?

End this life

And I?ll say a fu**ing prayer
Because I know it won?t be answered

Where is your god? (2x)
Where is your fu**ing god?

And even though I don't believe in you
I pray for the day (2x)
That you end this life

So please
Take me
Away

I want the hand of god
To come and strike me down (2x)

Where is your god? (2x)
Where is your fu**ing god?

For all the prayers that go unanswered (2x)
Why do you think that is?
For the families that waste their time
Open your eyes

And all your prayers will go
Unanswered
Why do you think that is?
For the families that waste their time
Open your fu**ing eyes
