Default Which 5th Wheel should I buy?

The kids are grown and soon to be gone. My wife and I are moving to WA State this summer. I have an F-250 with a Power-stroke. I want an RV for traveling on weekends and perhaps to live in for several weeks while we find a house. I will retire in a few years and I might spend several months traveling.

What brand of 5th wheel will offer good quality and reliability? How big is big enough? What options are "must haves? Where is the best place to find one (new or used)? Any other lessons learned?

Thanks,

Mark

We bought ours at Emerald Coast RV in Navarre. Bill was the salesman. Very professional. options we liked: outside cooking station, outside shower, ceiling fans are a nice option, If you are traveling for weeks at a time a built in washer/dryer is nice. If we buy another one it will also have a generator, and be a toy hauler.

We have a 37' 5th wheel. Fully self contained ie Generator. No washer/dryer as we didn't want one, but is a nice option. Slides are a must if you want to stay in it for any lenght of time. We have 3 slides. If you want to chat PM me youe phone number.
