Default 150 Lap PLM Race at Mobile Sunday

The last pro late model race of the year for Mobile will be this Sunday afternoon. This will be a 150 lapper with the last 10 laps green, could take a while. There's a cold front on the way and hopefully it will pass before race time and make for a cool fall like afternoon.

There will also be bomber, sportsman, superstock/trucks and modified races. First responders get in free.

This is a bit different track than Pensacola, no back wall, saves a lot of cars that spin out.

I'll be heading over around 2 to catch some of the practice. Anybody else plan on going?

Are there any Enduro races in these parts?
Never heard of one at Five Flags, Flomaton, etc.

Actually, they are a hobby stock type of car "race".
Up north they call them enduro races.
It is basically a demo derby going in a circle.
But.......they run up to as many cars as will fit on the track.
I watched one on a half-mile dirt track and they had cars three abreast and one car length apart, bumper to bumper around 3/4's of the track to start.
There must have been 100 to 150 cars on the track.
They start from a stand still with a green flag.
If a car spins out, stalls, quits, wrecks etc. the red flag flies and then the driver of said car is removed. But not the car unless it causes the track to become completely blocked.
Then they go again until the next car cant go no more.
It is a free for all with drivers purposely trying to knock others out of the race.
It is action backed for sure and a big fan favorite.

It is like Death Race 2000 in real life, LOL.
