Same here and in over 3.5 years and 3000 hrs Ive NEVER had an issue with my motors other than finally blowing a lower unit a few weeks ago. Granted that was of course not fuel related.

I can understand this.......This boat is unusual.....in that it NEVER sits!

But the average person puts 100hrs or less on their boat......Thus It sits....When it sits....is when you get fuel separation.....And when Marine Fuel / Non Ethanol is your best bet for no fuel problems.

Folks.....I think it is also important to include what Octane Non Ethanol you are using.

Octane level can decrease in 30 days of fuel sitting.

Around this town.....There is 87....89.....and 91 Non Ethanol.

I totally agree. How long can one have ethanol sit before separation begins? Would some one have issues if they ran ethanol fuel and went through it all in a couple of weekends? For those that run say 300 hours a year would they be ok?

Keep that fuel tank topped off when you return to port NOT before going out. If the tank is full how can moisture get into tank. What the hell is fuel seperation?
Never ran non ethenol in my engines since ethenol out. Only water problem I ever had was when I left the fill cap off after refulling and it rained 3 days. Had to pump a gallon of water out of tank through the sending unit hole.

I would test fuel from a gas station to see if it was real gas and not ethanol, I would put the gas into a glass jar and add water, then I would shake the glass container and mix the 2, then let it sit. If it was 100% gas you would see a razor thin line that would separate the gas from the water. If the gas had ethanol in it after shaking it and letting it sit you would see a 1/4" to 1/2" of milky layer between the gas and water layer, hence the alcohol in the gas allowing the fuel and water to mix and stay on separate phase. Like in the video. Cars do not have this issue like boat tanks because the car has a closed loop fuel system that prevents moisture from entering the tank. The boat on the other hand has a vent that is always open and venting, ethanol is like a sponge it attracts/draws in moisture from the air. The marine atmosphere is a very rich environment for moisture. Back in the days of ole Jimmy Carter and gasohol with carburetors (like ethanol and small 2 and 4 stroke engines today) was a total disaster on rubber hoses/diaphragms/o rings in carburetors/fuel systems.

I am sure that Bobby will correct me if I am off on what I am saying. This is how I understand it.
