Default Woah! I just became a Blue Marlin!

I didn't know how many posts it to get to the Blue Marlin level but it must be 4,000.

I know I've been on this site since it was "Fish the Bridge" and I don't live close to P'cola. I spent a lot of time up in the Panhandle lots of years ago chartering out of Destin then Pensacola. I miss the fishing the way it was up there 50 years ago but I couldn't stand it these days. Way too many people and not all of them nice.

Congrats captken !! I miss those stories you used to post, like the marijuana tales or something like that. It's lost on the old forum.

Nice going. I had to look to see what kind of fish I was, I'm a blue marlin too! Never really paid any attention before.

Default I'm in the midst of a couple of tales right now but--

The guitar got in the way. Right now I am a bit discouraged because my playing purely sucks. I'm getting close to giving up. I've reached this point several times and got through it. I can't afford lessons. If I'd give up and go back to writing I might be able to afford lessons but then I wouldn't have time to plunk on the guitar.

I've enjoyed this site immensely as I know a bunch of others have.

I saw a couple of hundred Tarpon today and might try to catch one or two tomorrow. I put a new leader on my 12 wt and checked out the 9 wt I prefer to use. This 100 degree temperature every day is kicking my butt. No relief in sight either. Maybe I'll wait until 9 or 10 tomorrow night when it is a bit cooler plus it is much easier to catch them at night.
