I need to replace a couple seals on my engine control cylinder. Is there a place locally that would sell individual seals as apposed to an entire seal kit? I'd rather buy local than online if possible.

You are better off with the complete seal kit rather than piece at a time of a reason. If you have to replace an outer seal that means the rest of it most likely needs replacing as well. West Marine has the kits in the warehouse for most of the Sea Star stuff.

A direct answer to the Question you posted is Yes.

I bought all of the O-rings, wipers and seals to rebuild mine for about twenty bucks at the Hydraulic repair shop on hwy. 29 north of nine mi. rd.
If you aren't comfortable disassembling it yourself you can drop it off and pick up when ready, or disassemble it yourself and they can match the O-rings and seals that are Common Stock at any good Hydraulic repair shop...

I have a spanner wrench you can borrow if you decide to tackle it yourself...

hey there - we ourselves do not offer the seals on their own, and, recently we have changed the materials used in these seals to a much better type, this material is made for just us (don't know if you will be able to match it at a hydraulic shop). I have heard of customers in the past successfully obtaining similar seals and installing them with great success

of course, I do recommend that you order our kit, this will ensure that you have the right seals

thanks
