I don't see a problem with it. Could come in very handy if you are alone or move things around a lot.

Meh, serves a purpose for some people. Just like the joystick controls on some of these new boats.

It would probably work but would be hard on the trailer jack. I don't think I would use one.

This is what I do. I have a small dot painted on the top of my tailgate directly above the ball so it can be seen in the rearview mirror. I just back up and line the dot up with the trailer winch post. Works every time. Hardly ever have to touch anything but the jack handle.

better for lighter boats and trailers, but the heavy ones I think it would beat the trailer jack up pretty good.....?

No kidding, for what it is.

Kinda looks like you only have the V part on it to get the trailer on the ball.
And then pull it off?

If your trailer has the wheel on the bottom and a hard surface below it, it could be nifty.
