Default Weather this morning

Weather is bad this morning in pensacola . I think I just survived the equivalent of Super Storm Sandy on the way to work.

Our house took a direct hit on this morning between 630AM-700AM. I believe it was one of the streamers off the main bolt that connected with the house.

I was washing my hands when my 6th sense said I better get my hands out the sink. I turned to grab the towel to dry my hands when at that same moment the house took a hit. I had my back turned to the bathroom, but I heard the electricity from the strike either coming from the outlet, faucet, or both make the whip-cracking sound three or four times. Scared the living daylights out of me.

As I went through the house checking for signs of lightning damage, the entire kitchen floor was flooded when the dishwasher took the surge and busted the waterline connected to the dishwasher. As I neared the dishwasher, one side was putting off so much heat likened to opening a hot oven door.

The lightning strike took out the dishwasher, damaged the microwave; fried the living room flatscreen television, am/fm stereo receiver, AT&T U-Verse dvr receiver, and the power supply for U-Verse located in computer room.

What's odd is it takes out the three electronics in living room, but didn't damage the DVD Player that was plugged in the same surge protector the other three electronics shared.
