Default Waypoints into Raymarine?

Can someone provide guidance on how I might be able to import waypoints from a .csv file into a Raymarine G-Series MFD? I have the waypoints in a file stored on the CF cartography card that is installed in the system cpu but I cannot locate a utility to convert them into Raymarine's special proprietary super secret language. I have a CF card reader on my laptop but have had no luck finding a program to convert them that way either. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks.
-Alan

PS: BUY GARMIN!!!

I think the guys a Blue Water Ship store have a software package they can sell you. There are a couple on the web also, but honestly I just printed everything out and manually loaded them into my c series and dumped a lot of trash at the same time.

Alot of the newer Raymarine units will except GPX files now. If yours will except you can convert the CVS file type to GPX on a free program called GPS Bable. You should be able to back up your the waypoints on your machine and then check the format. If it saves them in GPX format you will be good to go.

Just FYI the titles of the Waypoints can’t exceed 16 characters I play it safe and only use 14 when I upload a bunch of spots at one time.

Thanks for the help guys. Using a combination of GPS Babel and a copy of Raytech Navigator that I was able to download from Raymarine's German webpage (English webpage just says it has been retired??), I was able to get all my waypoints into the MFD this afternoon. It didn't help us much on our trip out yesterday though. We had to just resort to running up to within 20 feet of people, waking or prop-washing them off their spot and throwing out our marker buoy....

parrothead and cody&ryand like this.
