Default Using my own kayak on Black Water?

Next week a couple of my friends are going up to black water to rent some kayaks for the day, but I have my own that I want to use and I'm sure they're not too fond of that. Does anyone know of any places near the rental place I can launch my own at or if the rental place will let me pay a small fee and use my own?

I believe you only HAVE to pay if you plan on riding with them to the launch. I would simply launch the same road they launch from. Float a little past where they pick up the "paying customer" just under the bridge and get out. Have one of your friends drive you to your vehicle where you launched and another stay with your yak.

I've taken my own canoe along with a group that rented. They have a rate for hauling and picking you up with your own equipment.

I did this once and they didn't have an issue. The rest of the friends and family tubed and we loaded the cooler and picnic stuff in the kayak. They let me load it on their trailer to haul up to the launch point without saying anything about it.

Edit: this was on a slow day and we were the only ones there though.

Took us awhile to figure out that the road up to the launch site is public, not private. Once we realized it, I would drive the family and tubes up to the launch in my pickup, float down the river, then get out at the campgrounds where we were camping. I'd ride my bicycle back up to the launch to get my truck. Good workout for a 50 year old, but I had to stop several times to let my teenage daughter rest.

If you have two or more vehicles, park the first one at the bridge and take the second one to the launch. The only issue is that the gravel and sand road is very narrow, so be heads-up for other vehicles and places to pull off the road.

They will haul your equipment for a fee. I found, in the end, it was not worth it to screw with my own kayak. I think the cost is about the same.
YMMV

Thanks for the replies guys, you've all been very helpful. Does anyone know the name of the streets or general area of the launch and the bridge at the end? I was there years ago but coming from Navarre I am not too familiar with the area.

If you are coming from Holt, on Bryant Bridge road, as soon as you cross over the bridge, it is the first or second road on the left.

There is a canoe launch there,
