How long was the boat gone before you contacted the owner ? He must not have used it much at all.

He said it had to have been taken in the last two months before I called him. He had a nice back story. Apparently his brother had bought the boat new 20 something years ago and the two fished on it all the time from Louisiana to Florida. He fell on some hard times so his brother gave him the boat as a present when he moved to Florida full time. He got into real estate, made a crap ton of money, and bought a bigger boat so he parked this one. When he found out I was looking for a boat like this to hunt and fish on with my family, he thought that to pass it on would be paying the kindness forward that his brother had shown him. I was grateful and my family sure is enjoying it. It is super light and with that 40 horsepower on the back of it, it is almost uncomfortable fast (especially when turning lol).

I hope said "unscrupulous tenant" is feeling the burn.
