Default Transducer length.....Dang

Wanting to upgrade machine (garmin 94s or simrad go7) but the transducers are super long. Is that going to create a lot of spray when running, or a step for people climbing into boat, which will break it off.

Mine does have a little spray noticable. My daughter tried to use it once before explaining to her she has to use the ladder (4yo) I have 94sv, small price to pay for the ability to read the bottom and side scan with clarity and at speed

Spray can be negated with a simple shield over it. Quite a few DYI it or use the commercial spray shield(s)
