Default Trach the "A Whale"

Live Ships Map - AIS - Vessel Traffic and Positions

This is an awesome website to track the vessels working the oil spill.

Info on it said it is about 5 nm from macondo and from the speed and course, looks like it is skimming up the oil close to the source. Hope to hear reports and details of how much was actually skimmed off the surface. Maybe they will stop the dispersants and let this thing pick it all up. Also looks like there may be some other large skimmers out there. I would like to hear they are now picking up more a day than what is being released.

I havn't heard any details on the bottom kill lately. Anyone with any info?

The Whale is not skimming as of yet. They are still testing. Also,... the seas have to be less then 2 feet for the skimmer to be effective. Unfortunately, the seas have been pretty nasty all week.
