Default Time for Redemption

Okay guys I am curious as to what I hook up with and how I can catch it next time. I foul hooked a pinfish while reeling in my line and thought I would give it a try as live bait. So I tied on a 8 inch steel leader with a 6/0 j hook and threw it out in just a couple minutes my rod was bent over and before I could even pick it up the line was cut. So I wondering if it was a shark for some kind of game fish with a nasty bite. What ya think?

Shark or kings are the main culprits.

Probably a shark but I would check the condition of your line because a big Red Fish can hit pretty hard. If you're using shiny swivels you can be drawing strikes from Lady Fish or Spanish macs and get your line cut as the toothy critters hit the swivel.

I always use black swivels so its sounding like it was a shark or a spanish, I guess next time I put a live pinfish on the line I'll have to use a bigger leader.
