I watched it from the balcony at work (Hilton). The tarpon was floating on its side out by the sandbar. A guy waded out there and grabbed it and brought it in. I couldn't tell if he was dead...looked dead.....but was for sure after he was layin on beach for photo opps.

I was told he was probally wore out from a long fight and couldnt survive. Kinda sucks.

ridiculous... would of been smarter to try and revive it rather than using it as a photo-op to post to impress your facebook friends.

How do you know it wasn't already dead? How do you know that person even knows what kind of fish it is, how to properly revive or even if it's revivable or not?

You sure it wasn't caught from the pier? Maybe one of the rats spotted him from Navarre and decided he was going to try tarpon noodlin
