Default Surf fishing in the rain

Well I cant take it anymore I've got to get out and fish rain or shine. So what would you guys recommend about surf fishing in the rain or fishing from a pier or bank out of the Choctawhatchee bay

Just fish like you normally would, just watch out for lightning

Alright man I always have good luck bass fishing in the rain especially with top water baits like frogs. So I guess I'll try some top water walk the dog action baits.

the rain is no problem, these winds suck though! try the eveings a few hours before dark. seems to die down a bit then.

I feel the same way. i havent been fishing in a week. I dont want to get struck by lightning.

where you do you go in the bay?

Yeah where in the bay are you? I got skunked last evening on the docks but I could only stand the rain for about 30 minutes.

Dude, I've been thinking about this for weeks as I am finally getting a vacation to my home state after 5 long years here in a week. It's called fishing for a reason. There's no magic formula, just go out and fish and have fun and hopefully you'll have good luck. For me I'm going to be very serious about trying to catch something big, but if not I'll have a good time doing it, which is what it's all about.
