Snapper open for Labor Day?

I heard snapper was open for Labor Day weekend. Can anyone confirm ? State or fed water?

On a side note.......Don't forget that your Alabama fishing license is only good for Saturday and not Sunday. Bet they get a lot of folks on that one.






AlabamaAnnounces Two Additional Days of Red Snapper Season for Private Anglers
After completing areview of the 2019 private angler red snapper season through August 5, theAlabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources has determined twoadditional days can be added to the private angler recreational season. Theadditional days will begin 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2019, and rununtil midnight on Sunday, September 1, 2019.
Landing estimates arederived from mandatory angler reports submitted through Alabama’s Snapper CheckProgram. Anglers are reminded that greater amberjack is available for voluntaryreporting through the Snapper Check app.

Yes, like stated above, Alabama added two more days.

Maybe Florida should start counting snapper instead of licenses.

Sorry 'bout that confusion LY-zer. Alabama licenses are good for 365 days also, just that the 365 starts Sept 1 year after year. Kind of sucks but at least you remember when to buy your license every year and you can put everything from hunting, fishing, ducks....on the same license

Money grab by the state of Alabama. I get pissed every August 31. We used to run for one year from date of purchase, but the greedy shits in Montgomery wanted more.

We just had a gas tax rammed down our throats for bridges and infrastructure and now they want to build a billion dollar bridge in Mobile and put a $6 one way toll on it.
