Default SD card information?

Just purchased a Lowrance HDS5 unfortunately it came with lakes insight. I'm needing a SD card more for the gulf. Priced one at the Bass Pro Shop for $200, I'm hoping there is a cheaper way. Any help and suggestions will be appreciated. I got a SD card that fit my Ray Marine, Cape San Blas to Mobile Bay, is there anyway that this can be downloaded on another card to make it work on my Lowrance HDS5?

Which product did you price at Bass Pro? I know they carry the Navionics which are nice but can be expensive. Depending on what details and information you're looking for this might be an options for $99:

Another option at $150 would be the Nautic Insight HD:

Navionics range from $150 to $400:

There isn't any way to transfer the Ray Marine software to the Lowrance. Different manufacturers / format. Looking at the Navionics? I put it in our HDS10- all I can say it GREAT nav chip!

I dont mean to hijack the thread but I was trying to keep redundant threads down.

I just got a a Hummingbird fishfinder combo that supports Navionics and Lakemaster. Since Ive never used such an outft Im not sure if its something I will use or not. The boat is a Tracker so offshore is out of the question, dont do much saltwater fishing so bays are even unlikely. is it worth the money for my situation?

I checked out the listings on Lakemaster and saw nothing for my usual haunts- mostly local lakes like Jackson in Florala, Hurricane, etc. Actually I found only one lake listed that I go to.
Ive tried checking out map availability on Navionics but apparently they want you to spend the money before you know whats available (reminds my of Nancy saying "We have to pass the healthcare bill to know whats in it.")

I dont normally travel much to fish, about the farthest Ive been is Escambia on Quintette Rd to Choctawhachee River. But now I have a truck and a boat that are more reliable so I may start venturing off a little more. Lake Seminole is probably first on the list of places to go, might even spring for an AL license and ride up to Eufaula, but as far as traveling the entire southeast to fish, I just dont see it happening, at least anytime soon.
So, with all that in mind, should I just save that money for something more useful?

Thanks for the patience with my hijacking.
