Default Scrapping a boat???

I am thinking about scrapping my old 30' fishing boat. Anybody had any luck scrapping an old boat?

If it's aluminum, it would have some value at about 50 cent a pound. Fiberglass I would think not so much other than a personal private reef.

If you make a reef don't get caught taking it out it's against the law. just keep it quiet.

Most take all metal off and sell for recycling, and take and cut up the fiberglass and haul it to the land fill, and render the fees.

LITECATCH is in the middle of doing this now

Or more, as much as 90 cents. They do pay more for large amounts, with negotiation

Or, you could just take it to a local marina, tie it up, and cease paying slip rentals. I wonder how many over the years have taken that sleazy route.

We take them to santa rosa land fill cost is minimal and they will pull it off the trailer
