I see you are in Monument. The Colorado Springs area is one of my favorite places to visit. I have been able to work several hail storms in that area and I always look forward to my time there.

I use Cabelas Whuppin Sticks and have never had an issue. Snatch mullet quite often and that is tough on a rod, but they have withstood it so far. Plus they are cheap, especially when on sale.

We catch lots of stuff trolling crankbaits - catfish, spotted bass, and striper.

Not in Monument any more, should have updated location sooner. Loved working at the Air Force Academy and fishing in Colorado, but when they legalized pot and started passing anti gun laws, my wife and I decided it was time to leave so we moved to Louisiana. Spending lots of time in GA also these days.

Been over a decade since I tried a Whuppin Stick, but when I last bought a couple, both failed within a few months. Maybe they are better now.
