Default Red Snapper Fall Season

Here's a good video explaining what we're looking at for a fall snapper season. We'll be in New Orleans next week pushing for a weekend only season starting October 1 with an 11.5 million pounds TAC so we can have a consistent season over the next 3 years.

I guess anything is possible when dealing with NOAA Fisheries, but I have a pretty good feeling that their going to give us the fall season. My main reason for liking the weekend season is the fact that its stretched over a longer period of time and weather becomes less of a factor. If the season would have been in July we would have missed the first 8 days for the most part.

Default fall season

First thank you for your hard work on this. Secondly, working stiffs really appeciate the weekends. Would love to be able to fish during the week but not possible. For us workers the 28 days in June equaled only 10 fishing days. I did take a week off in June but unfortunately the weather only allowed about 4 days.

thanks again!!
