I always stop and help them cross if I can. Especially when there is an alligator turtle crossing the road near my house. They are feisty little things and heavy as crap but I help them anyways. Box turtles and what we call gopher turtles that dig the dens in the ground are alot easier to pick up and put in the ditch they were heading to.
