Default Ray Marine Dragonfly v. Elite 4 HDI Chirp

Ok, looking to (finally) put a combo unit on my kayak. I've narrowed it down to the Dragonfly 4 and the HDI-4 w/chirp. I would love to hear any opinions/experience with these units. Same price, and to me seem to be very comparable. I appreciate any input.

I've played with both and own a Dragonfly and love it. To be honest though, you won't go wrong with either.

Couldn't stand it, ordered the 4 pro with c-maps. Chris, do you know what size ball is on the back of the dragonfly?

Mine doesn't have a ball. It's the original Dragonfly with the 5.7" screen. It snaps into its bracket and has a tab that pops it out.

Gotcha. The one I ordered has a ball mount that comes with it. I have a standard 1.5 inch ball mount that goes into slide tracks, was wondering if I could use that or if I was gonna have to buy an extra mount.
