The first one is for rigging a hook to hold soft plastic baits better than anything on the market.
The second is for tying just about the fastest, simplest, cheapest and toughest fly you'll ever use. It catches fish too. You don't need a vise or special equipment to tie it but a good fly tiers bobbin is a great help.
