Default quantum escalade and smoke?

I've been thinking about trying out the smokes after hearing so many good reviews about them. Right now I don't have the extra cash to spend on one but the quatum escalade looks nice and similar. I was wondering if any of yall have used one. Im not too sure if its made for saltwater or freshwater and was curious as to how it would hold up to salt water if it is meant for fresh. I didn't see this reel on the website and couldn't find any specs on it.

Is there any big difference between the saltwater smokes and the freshwater? I saw a good deal on a freshwater smoke but I don't want a reel that will lock up after a couple trips in the salt. Would having it properly greased by Keith help it withstand the salt? Thanks for any advice.

Not to hijack your thread but you may want to add the Iron to your list. I've been hearing great things about those as well but not from anybody local.

The Quantum Escalade is a Dick's only model, and is aimed at FW.

The Quantum Iron seems to be a SW version of the Escalade, maybe a little better, but available everywhere..
