Default Pensacola Beach by boat

It's been years, but I used to anchor my boat in the area behind Flounder's/ Boardwalk. Is that still an option? I'm up from Merritt Island and the kids want to go to the beach tomorrow but I don't want to fight the traffic.

Yes. The other thing we like to do is head out the Pass and anchor off Ft. Pickens beach - assuming the surf isn't too rough and the tide's not out, you anchor pretty close to the beach. We pack our stuff in plastic bins and float it in, or we inflate one of those life-boat style floats and use that.
