Default Penn Battle vs Shimano Saros

Im looking at getting a new inshore reel in the 3000 to 2500 size and the penn battle and shimano saros are in my price range. I will be fishing out of a kayak the majority of the time so durability is a must. I take good care of my equipment and wash it down after each use. What are some of your experiences with each of these reels and what would you recommend?

I have a Penn battle 3000 and a bunch of symetras 2500's i like them both i dont think you would go wrong with either one. The battles is a little cheaper so id go with that have enough $ left over for a spool of braid.

From what I've seen, I would avoid the Battle. JMO, though.

I don't know about the smaller Battles but I put my 8000 through the torture test. Mainly jigging 4-10 oz jigs, whipped a bunch of big fish and quit a few big sharks. No complaints here.

Both are great reels, especially for the money!

I would go whichever you can get cheapest.
