Default Penn 704Z and 706Z re-release

Penn posted on their Facebook on Friday that the release will be in September. The new reel is a 100% exact replica of the old reels and made in the USA. I think there are some better reels out there these days but I know some of you will cream your panties.

Just because I want one of each. No other reason. And I have time to put that money back to have when the time comes to buy!

Boondocks great idea! I may end up buying 2 704s and then me a 706. I know I my boys 4&7 would LOVE for there daddy to get them a reel they could use when get bigger. The 7 year old could probably handle it now on a small poll. Great idea for Christmas

Wow, that hurts! I own a couple old 704's and plan to buy another one when they come out again. They're great reels and I've caught just about everything in the Gulf on them. I thought the 706's were basically the same reel, other than the spool or something; more line capacity? What is the actual difference?

I think the 706 has more line capacity than the 704, and does not have a bail. That are pretty much the main differences.
