Default Parts for Mitchell 488

Any chance anyone has parts for a Mitchell 488? This is one of my Dad's favorite reels & had not been used in a while. Forget to check & first attempt to open bail saw parts fall on to cast net, through some holes, & between pier boards.

You're a long ways off, not sure if he ships parts, but OceanMaster (keith) here on the forum may have the parts you need. Check with him.

The cone bearings are very hard to get. I sold all my 488 & 302 years ago. Years ago The fishing hole in Destin had a source in south Florida for tons of Mitchel parts but only selling limited amount each year. Try to find a guy named Gram who sometimes helped local Destin shops repairing internationals.

I bought a 488 off of craigs list last year and use it for spare parts.
