Default New boats?

my buddy is looking into buying a brand new boat. he asked me where to go and look for a new flats boat and i have know idea really other than some places on barranacas and a place on airport. is there anyplace you guys know about where he can go? he's willing to drive so anywhere from destin to alabama.

carolina skiff is one.

I think he is going to need to drive a bit further for a flats boat... I do think they have Mavericks in Destin if I remember correctly.

Posners sells CS. 1710 Barrancas. Theres a dealer on Hwy 59 in Foley/GulfShores too.

Ships Chandler in Destin is a Pathfinder dealer. Also Sunrise marine near Fort Walton has a ton of boats, not sure about flats boats. From Carolina Skiff to Pathfinder there is a mile of difference in price, construction and options. I love my Carolina Skiff, it is the third one I have owned. I had a 16ft V series, a 21ft DLV and now the old 24ft flat bottom.

Is he looking for a true flats skiff or more of a bay boat? You don't really see to many true flats skiffs around here (ie. Maverick, Hells Bay, Hewes). And the most important question is what sort of budget is he working with?

I see some for sale over here off of 98 called a Red Sled. They look pretty cool. Keep meaning to stop in and check them out, but I don't want to listen to a sales pitch.
