I looked at World Cat but didn't think of Glacier Bay, I'll give them a look tonight. I'll also look at C-Dory, I have to admit I never heard of them. Joe, a new 38lx is probably out of my reach, it probably runs in the low to mid $300,000 range. But the 33pfc might be doable if I can find a good used one. I have just always liked Fountain boats so I'm hoping I can swing one but want to look at all the options out there.

Glacier bay will be the BEST riding boat in that range you cna buy. Slower than a mono hull but they ride awesome. I have not been on one with a cabin but the cc is incredible for a 26ft boat

The only C-Dory I have been on was at a Boat Show several years ago and it was a 25 foot Cat (Tomcat). I think with twin 150's it was priced about 140,000. Had a very roomy cabin.

Everglades makes a fine 32' boat with a cabin but they are pricey. You will get what you pay for.

Wow, those Everglades are nice, I'm going to have to check them out in person.

I liked the twin cats. Use to sale them over at paridise in Gulf Shores. I looked at a polar once but the resale was terrible.

I think I've narrowed it down to Fountain, Pursuit and possibly Everglades. The Fountain really depends on whether I can find a very nice used one in the area under 2-3 years old. I'm going to go over to Legendary Marine either this weekend or next and see what they've got. The Polars really have a nicely set up cabin but I've been reading a lot on The Hull Truth and a lot of people don't like them and it seems that they have some potential structural problems.

Personally I'd rather just get a nice center console but the boss wants a cabin so that's what we'll get. If I could go out and get whatever I wanted today I would have a loaded out Andros Tarpon 26. That way I can still do a little shallow water fishing (10" draft) but also go out 50 miles if I want. Oh well, I guess it's a good problem to have.

not trying to ofened anyone on here i just dont want you to make a big mistake i fish with several people who own new pursuits let me get you out on one of them first so you can experince that back cracking ball busting ride for yourself and that should help you make up your mind. the newwer Foutain hulls with the wider beams provide a stable dry fast ride but Mercury outboards SUCK optimaxs blow powerheads and Verados trash their lower units this is not just an opioin. I recomend you do a hull truth search on Mercury before you even consider it. Everglades build a bad ass boat that is for sure.
