Default Navionics app

Anybody ever tried the Navionics app on the iPhone 4s? I got it for $10 and it looks great. Just wondering how accurate it and the iPhone are. Thanks

I just downloaded it myself last night. For the price it seems decent.

I agree. Easy to use and I like the way it syncs with my iPad. If it won't get u on the spot it doesn't matter.

Boondocks,

Open up your GPS program (uses Google Earth Maps) that comes with the iPhone; and zoom in to your position and see what part of your house is it showing you at. I have a 4s also, and it was within a foot of the part of my home I was at. Also, if it is slightly off; slowly wave the phone back and forth to allow the signal to re-triangulate.

I tried to download this app couple of months ago but couldn't understand how to download it. It wouldn't download straight to my phone, something about having to download to my computer then sending it to my phone. Tried to download and still couldn't. I admit I am not to smart with all this tech. They have to make it idiot proof for me I guess.

Please post what ya'll think about it and how it works if you would. I will find someone with a little more tech savoy if it is worth it.

What is the name of this app? My Ipad is showing a Navionics app called "Marine & Lakes: USA HD" from the app store....however it's listed for $49.99.

Is this the same app you got for $10 on your Iphone?

I can't quite remember but I think the $50 uses a different type of chart and is more clear. Also believe it has more stuff to it, seems like something about the buoys are part of it. Believe you can move the buoys on the $50 version.

There are more apps out there like this one also. Read the reviews. A lot of them say bad things after they upgrade, Navionics being one of them.

Still looking for someone to answer if they downloaded this app directly to their phone or had to go through their computer?

I downloaded directly to my phone. It is the same app. I think the iPad version just has more bells and whistles. After you buy the phone app u can put it on ur iPad for free and just zoom in.
