Default Navarre to Destin

Anybody ever cruised from Navarre to Destin on the intercoastal? My wife and I are thinking about making a day trip out of it.

I do it quite often. It's a nice ride with a very well marked channel.

Several years ago I did it with my uncle from Shorline park. It was nice ride and saw a manatee but the long stretches of no wake zone gets old after awhile. We then left Destin pass and ran to Cape San Blas, that was trip!

What long stretches of "no wake " zones from Shoreline to Destin Pass?

I ran the ICW from Point Clear Alabama to Destin Harbor two weeks ago in 42 Grand Banks. We traveled at 6 knots for the 12 hour, onehundred mile trip. There is very shallow water on the out side for the channel in many areas. Also, acouple of nice Islands to stop on, as I have done in the past. The no wake Zone at Fort Walton can be a little long, if you are in a hurry.

+1 on the islands and shallow water that i've noticed in between the two. just follow the channel and you'll be good. no wake zone is about a 5 min or so ordeal. once you get past brooks you're next stop is the no wake zone at the destin coast guard station. have a good trip, it's a nice quiet ride.
