Default Massachusetts

We are fairly new to the area. We have been trying to catch bait around the Massachusetts but am worried about hitting it. I know there is one part right at the surface but not sure of its size. Are there two different areas that are near the surface or just the one? I was told there was another one near the surface but you couldnít see it. Thanks

There are two. One barely sticks out of the water on a low/outgoing tide and the other isnít much below the surface. How much water does your boat draft?

Either way, no need to get directly on top of it to catch bait. There will also be way more bait around in a couple months.

It's oriented roughly east-west parallel to the beach. If you find the part of the structure that is just at/below the surface the other one is about 150' or so west-southwest of there.

Look at the big dark shadow under water by that gun turret. That big shadow is the Mass.

Be careful, the Mass sometimes gets underway.

Part of the Mass that use to stick outta the water at times floated over to Destin a while back but it may be back... Bait moves, keep an eye out around all the buoys!

Hit the expand arrows at the top left of page. I think this view is just about looking straight north.

Oh lord, here we go....

There are two Massachusetts battleships. One is marked by a displaced buoy, and one that just drifts around the northern Gulf of mexico. The one that drifts around is made of semi floating steel.....
