To the Marine Police at Big Lagoon this Sunday morning who was parked under the No Wake sign.
Thanks for being there. I wish you were there every morning. It made for a quite day. I really wish you had been there earlier when the guy with the Bass Boat who was using the canoe ramp at Big Lagoon ripped through at a high rate of speed to take out. Stoker1 likes this.

Are you talking about where the oyster bar restaurant is or actually in big Lagoon? I see the Marine Patrol all the time up from the oyster bar. Didn't know there was an official No wake in big Lagoon except over by Fort Mc Cray. Just curious as it's been a year or so since I was up that way.

There are two sets of signs south of the restaurant One is even, more or less, with the small island and the other set is just past the State Park Beach, again more or less. It was the southernmost set he was under but not for long and eventually he stayed out in the canal. There seems to be a lot of people who who either don't understand "idle speed" or don't care because even with him there in the open some folks would come busting past the sign.
I fish from a kayak and stay over in the flats so it doesn't bother me unless someone comes busting through the grass flats, as someone does from time to time. But it is funny to watch. I don't usually fish that area on weekends so maybe he is there then, but I've never seen police in that area through the week when I'm there. If I was a LEO and I had a quota I would park there all the time.

Ok those signs have been there for many many years in the intercoastal west of big lagoon. Fwc during windy weather sits west of the bridge on south side of the canal. Go past either sign an they will ticket you.
