Yesterday morning the forecast was 1-2'. Trip planned, boat hooked up, and buddies on ready for a 5:00am blastoff. Around 5:30 last evening, I checked forecast again. 2-4' seas getting worse later in the day. GRRRR!
Trip called off, maybe next week. This morning @ 6:00 am, "1' seas". GRRR again! Too early to call anyone, maybe try again next week?

Yeah it sucks, especially with the buoys at less than a foot right now. Hard to call off a trip after prepping everything too. But, it's always better to be safe.

it was certainly "lake-worthy" yesterday.

I woke up at 4 and checked reefcast. I saw it was less than 1' but I couldn't get anyone up so I went back to bed. They are still sleeping.

RWC is only calling for 5-10 MPH winds here today. We are leaving for a trip at 3 this afternoon. reef cast is calling for higher winds, but 2 weeks ago they were calling for 1 or less and it was 3-4's who knows give it a shot!

Just checked again, 3-4' with a small craft advisory. They can't make up their minds.

I went out at 11-ish and I got back about an hour ago. The seas were small but confused and we got soaked. We fished for about 2 hours and didn't get a single bite.

2-4 ft seas? That 26' Twin Vee WAC will take that with ease.
