Default Look what followed me home today.

I admit it, I'm a sucker for C-Hawk boats. I've been looking for a good hull to put the motor/t top/leaning post/console and other parts off my donor Aquasport with very damaged hull.

Found this one in Molino, Fl., not too far away from home. I was amazed at the difference in this 235 C-Hawk and my older 245 C-Hawk. Completely different hulls.

I'm hoping the plastic fuel tank from the Aquasport will fit between the stringers of the C-Hawk. That will save around $800 or so. All of the other parts should fit nicely.

Stay tuned!

What a small world, you were at my house today, that little lady that used the tractor to help get the trailer on your truck was my wife, and brother n law. I was at the hunting club with my son this afternoon, hate I wasn’t there to meet you

It is indeed a small world. Nice place you have, your wife drove the tractor like a pro.

This one should go quickly. Got names of several local fiberglass guys already. The floor is the only real time consuming part of this build. I won't have to scrounge up pieces, everything off the Aquasport should fit nicely. It will be ready before snapper season.

Got a little bit done today, backed the boat into my work shed. Made the cuts in the foam around the fuel tank and hooked a come-a-long to the filler neck and put a little lift on it. I used a shovel to pry the tank up a bit, seemed to be stuck. Hmm. 90 gallons of old gas later, the tank came out easily. BTY, anyone want 90 gallons of old gas?
Luckily, I had plenty of 5 gallon buckets to catch the gas in.
All the rainwater in the hull was pumped overboard, waiting now for some dry weather.

Keep us posted, I like following these threads. I'm not at all mechanically inclined so I live vicariously through those of you who are!
