I created an emergency bilge pump for my boat. It has eight feet of hose and eight feet of wire with clip on connectors with a 600 gph pump. All wrapped up in a way to be easily tosses over to another boat.
It's mainly for my boat, but prepared for a toss if needed. It makes me extra comfortable offshore. I had a very bad experience at the edge after dark last summer. I was taking on water from the self bail and the bilge sucked up a bunch of debris. The boat would not plane off, and there I had a issue 38 miles from orange beach at 9 p.m.
I was able to figure out a remedy after a quick freak out, and found the problem. Fixed with electrical tape in the dark to stop the flow.
I highly recommend an emergency throw bilge pump for anyone in the water. It could be a day saver.

I hope who ever was taking on water made it out safely.
Scary...

We heard the call and started looking for the boat. We saw what looked like the CG zodiac screaming out and then stop at the vessel. Never heard anything else. Looked like he was on a heading coming in from the Paradise Hole or way east.

The coast guard buzzed me on a tank yesterday then rode my wake all the way to sportsmans. Had me nervous the whole freaking time...
