Default Jet Skier search 3 mile

Fishing 3 mile bridge just south of the channel via boat about 9 PM.
Pensacola Police north bound stopped his cruiser on the bridge walked over to the rail and asked if we had seen a Jet Ski or person in the water. Negative..
5 minutes later FWC boat with blue lights pulled up and asked same question and headed North towards the channel.
Soon after, a Zodiac type boat pulled up and asked about a jet ski. I don't know what LEO agency it was but it had a ton of red only emergency lights on it . The boats made several passes from the bridge channel back towards the 17th ave launch and started slowly working East. We fished until 10 pm or so and eased back to the bayou Texar ramp.
No radio chatter about it on the VHF. It was about slick calm and no current.

Anyone know what was going on?

If the jet skier was following the laws of the water and wearing a life jacket, he should be found this morning floating or walking
