Default It's easy to tell when opening day for snapper is........

MONDAY
SOUTHEAST WIND AROUND 15 KNOTS. SEAS 2 TO 4 FEET
OCCASIONALLY UP TO 5 FEET. PROTECTED WATERS A LIGHT TO MODERATE
CHOP. A SLIGHT CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS.

I guess I'm going to miss opening day.

As a result of the emergency rule, the 2014 Gulf of Mexico red snapper recreational season in federal waters is 9 days, opening at 12:01 a.m., June 1, 2014, and closing at 12:01 a.m., on June 10, 2014. The red snapper bag limit is 2 fish with a 16-inch minimum total length size limit

It is unless they have F'd us down to 8 days. It wouldn't surprise me at all. There aren't many snapper out there anymore.

My marine weather app and the underground weather site both say Monday is 1 and 2. But the wind could easily mess that up. Southeast 12-15knots.
