Default If you could only had 5.....

How many of y'all fish the same baits over and over and over again?

I have always fished the same baits. However, I love to look an buy the newest tackle. So much of it just sits in my box and NEVER gets thrown. Well I am tired of digging through hundreds of dollars of brand new baits only to rummage around to find a tarnished and beat up gold spoon or a chewed up mirrodine.

Well, I am going to make a commitment to quit buying new random tackle and start organizing the gear I use. So, with all of this rain, it has got me thinking. I am going to get 5 new Plano boxes and fill them up with the tackle I use. Where before I had a variety of baits; Im now going to add a variety of colors/sizes.

If yall had to pick 5, which 5 would you pick?

Here is mine:
Gold Spoon - Johnson Sprite or Nemire Red Ripper
Rapala Skitterwalk - Trout Pattern, Red Fish Pattern, Mullet Pattern
DOA Shrimp - Stark Naked, Gold Flake, Root Beer, and Glow/Gold Belly
Gulp Jerk Shad - New Penny
MirroDine - (17 and 27MR) - Colors 18, 21, and 49.

I am visiting Pensacola all next week. What bait or lure should I use in the serf? What about off a pier on the bay. Will be near Portifono Condos. Thanks for help.

Mirrodines and mirro-minnows

Sluggo/bass assassins

Sidewinder spoons

Live Target mullet topwater

Owner circle hooks (all sizes)...and a cast net.

I could survive on the last one alone...in fact, I usually do.

Good call on the cast net. Not to many places other than the central northern Gulf coast recognize mullet as table fair. Some of the best table fair at that in my opinion.

I throw live bait very seldom(inshore). It is certainly effective. There is just something addictive about getting fish to eat artificial, especially topwater.
