Question i need a little advice guys!

K this is my first time posting on here guys and thanks in advance for your help, me and my wife just moved back from minnesota, i spent 8 years there and im completely setup for freshwater lake fishing, im going off what i remember from my childhood, mullet for shark sandfleas for pompano and flouder sometimes, shrimp and cut bait for cats.. well iv been fishing every day for a week now at sanders beach perdido beach, orange beach and both saides of the bay bridge andall iv cought is two hardheads, i wasnt here during the oil spill and i can only assume that effected the amount of fish in the local waters. I dont have a boat yet sadly i sold it up north before i moved down so im stuck on shore for the time being so if i can get some tips on where i need to be and whats biting on what bait i would be extremely greatful, my wife is so annoyed with me becausr of how much i talked about how great the fishing was here and now im starting to wonder if i was semi retarded

The fish are still here. I seen some pretty good reports from the guys who surf fish for Pompano and Whiting over the last month. I fish off a boat so maybe some of the surf guys will chime in.

bob Sykes is littered with shark, ladyfish and bluefish right now. just chunk a piece of bait out and you're set. also pcola pier has been doing fairly well, (based on their Facebook) for kings and cobia. the beaches seem to always have some Pompano, Redfish, and ground Mullet, and unfortunately plenty of catfish. seems like lately every bait has been working...... keep in mind, I haven't been doing a lot of fishing in pcola lately but this is what I've been told from fairly reliable sources, of course you can never trust a fisherman!
