Ok, it looks as though eventually we will have a workable amount of people willing to spend their time helping. The next step is that we need to secure funding for our gas and expenditures does anyone have any ideas on that front? In order for this to run its course correctly we also need to get the word out to every PFF member and the media, get the approval of Chris to use the PFF name, and start to organize. Lets make this work!

I don't have any problems with you using the PFF name to promote any efforts you guys can set up!

I know alot of big names in country musiccome to the area heck they did it for Tenn. why not here. Also why not set up a non profit and just ask BP for a couple of mill. long as we have a strike platform that can deliver they would love to be a wanna be hero. Hell I dont give a rip who gets credit long as we get it done.

Great Thread. I am in total agreement with you guys. Pensacola is our home and we need to do our best to defend it. Sickens me every day that this is happening. Hoping this is not a repeat of the 1976 spill that took 9 months to cap off. Could not believe the similarities on that video that posted a few days ago. Tom, you motivate me. My father-in-law arrives from Arizona tomorrow afternoon. We have been planning a fishing trip for a year now. Hate to tell him that the waters are closed. We will do what we can to help.

I don't usally post on here but, why are we not seriously considering a class action law suite. I have discussed this with several people and we would like to persue this. The way I see it commerial fisherman and charter boat captains are being some what compensated if you can call it that. I don't see anyone concerned about the recreational fisherman. I know I have a resonable amount of money tied up in my pasion for fishing. I can't even begin to go into my mental anguish. If I don't get to fish this summer I could haul off and slap someone.

I'm thinking of a protest!!! If we all put a banner on our boat, pulled it to a BP gas station, and parked, do you think it would get national media attention? The banner could say something like "Recreational Fisherman Boat, unable to use do to BP's negligence!" Or something like that. What do yall think.
