Nice. He can clean all the fish in his sink quicker than I can clean just one. I'll have to try that next time.

In all seriousness, the Lord gave you that fish and you threw half of it away. Not busting your chops, just saying if you will fillet all the way to the head, you’ll get twice as much. I’m sure you already know this and hoping you just left that part out on the video.

I agree that there is room for improvement on technique. Why don't folks who can do better make their own videos to help folks get better?

If you fillet from the tail to the head, THROUGH the rib cage, then simply cut out just the rib cage , and then skin it, you save all that meat above the rib cage to the head...and only takes a few seconds more per fish.
