Default How fast - Red snapper

Everyone seems to be getting ready for the short season.

What if, say you and two friends (total of 3 guys on boat) wanted to see how fast you could run from the mouth of the pass, catch your 6 legal fish and be back at the mouth of pass?

I'm over near Destin and I think I could do it in less than an hour.

Crazy, isn't it.

I remeber me and my dad ran out the last day like 25 miles and we had our limit in 15 min, then we're like now what do we do. Good to fish near a spot you can pick up some differnt species.

I might take my kids Friday afternoon when they get out of school so It should be a short trip for us. Only one of my boys is able to pull one in by himself so With me helping the other two It might take a bit to get 8 fish. I'll probably use cigar minnows just so that we can catch the barely legal ones and get back to the shore, but if I was going out with an adult or two earlier in the day I would take time to catch some big squirrelfish and go after the huge sows.
