Dedication of Marine Aviation Memorial Bell Tower at Veterans memorial Park. 11AM at Veterans Memorial Park.
Dave Glassman here with the Marine Aviation Memorial Bell Tower. Starting Friday, August 17th, the Travel Lodge on Pensacola Beach will be hosting/sponsoring (10) AHERO wounded service members & veterans from during their weekend long stay in support of the Memorial Tower Dedication Ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park, August 19th. The reason for their participation in the Dedication Ceremony is because many of them are alive today because of the Marine Aircrews that went into harms way to get them off the battlefield in places like Iraq and Afghanistan. We feel that this "completes the message" of the tribute that is being made on August 19th when the Bell Tower is dedicated to the greater Esca/Rosa community.
They're visit will include a Fishing Trip on Saturday morning aboard "The Entertainer" of Pensacola Beach Marina that will include Mr. Ken Odom (Strike Two Pro Staff) to assist the service men and veterans throughout the day. Later that evening, the AHERO veterans will enjoy their caught fish ("Hawaiian style" prepared by Aloha Grill of Gulf Breeze) at the Seville Quarter Heritage Banquet Hall where we will be recognizing all the Fishing Trip sponsors for their support. Following the Dinner event, the Memorial Concert at Seville Quarter will take place featuring National Touring Artists, THE REVIVALISTS. Then, on Sunday morning they will attend the Memorial Dedication ceremony at 11:00am and a post ceremony Reception at the Fish House, followed by the 4:00pm Blue Wahoos game.
