That was awesome... though I don't think its entirely real. I think they caught the fish hook and line, got it really tired, released it boatside with a guy on its back and edited the footage to make it look like he landed on it from a helo. No matter what, its still super cool!
1) Notice the guy jumps out of thehelo with his glasses on. Ever try to do a head dive from that height with your glasses on? Good way to loose your eyesight and/or lacerate your face.
2) How did the underwater cameraman just happen to be there? How about the cameraman on the surface who recorded the jump from the helo?
3) If the guy dove off thehelo and hit the marlin with his shoulder, he would have fractured his clavicle for sure.
4) The sequence of the marlin swimming with the guy attached looks totally fake.
However, got to give these people an A++ for special effects.
yea its been posted a half dozen times during the past week....i'm not as quick to call it fake as some of ya'll. this is the same nut job that catches billfish on handlines and off of jet skis
Orion45 (7/28/2008)That's a bunch of BS. Several things:
1) Notice the guy jumps out of thehelo with his glasses on. Ever try to do a head dive from that height with your glasses on? Good way to loose your eyesight and/or lacerate your face.
2) How did the underwater cameraman just happen to be there? How about the cameraman on the surface who recorded the jump from the helo?
