The salmon are tuff fish they took a hit but came back ,it was the delicate herring fishery that collapsed, the herring just never came back to Cordova. Tragidy is most of these fisherman cried for help but many governments and locals turned there backs on them as there lively hoods vanished, you would think the locals would have supported them but with its growing tourism they did not need all the negative attention or the whole town would die, now the herring fishery is gone but the tourist are still coming I guess every body wins

Yeah, I know the story. Everyone won except the guys that fished for a living. Many of the people here would gladly follow suite and keep the media reports cheery for tourism and let an industry and way of life die should a gulf fishery collapse.

Another guy aboard our boat fainted shortly after coming back from a 5 day trip as soon as we hit land and had to be hospitalized.

Had another friend aboard the boat that had two seizures in one trip pretty scarry to to witness all this.

There are new study's coming out that I have been reading and watching, some strange things are going on out there.

OMFG, I spend 270-300 offshore each year ( and a good part of it just miles from the spill site.) and my crew spends at least 240. Not to mention an additional 30 days recreationally on and in the water. Not one incidence of mysterious maladies.

I can understand that, bro...It's all good. The whole situation pisses me off, the fact that it happened, how it was handled after the fact, the lack of response capability, and the treatment of it by the media.
